The inspiration of the name comes from Lithuanian roots and culture.[1],[2] According to the legend, in the early 14^th century, Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas was hunting in a sacred forest where the Vilnia river flows into the Neris River. After a successful hunt, the party made camp and went to sleep. That night in a dream, a massive iron wolf appeared on the hill overlooking their camp and made a legendary howl during a full mood, a howl with the strength and noise of a hundred wolves. After awakening, the duke asked his pagan priest to interpret the meaning behind the dream. The priest concluded that the place where the iron wolf stood, a massive castle will stand with a capital city to surround it. The strength and noise of the howl represents the noise that the city will one day make. As such, Gediminas obeyed the will of the gods and founded Lithuania’s capital city “Vilnius” in that spot, after the river Vilnia.

Drawing from this legend, and how the Iron Wolf resulted in Lithuania’s capital city, it was therefore fitting to incorporate this namesake into our name and what we stand for.
